oude specerij met vele goede eigenschappen. Dit supervoedsel wordt zowel in de keuken als in de Ayurveda gebruikt en wordt gewaardeerd om zijn antioxiderende, ontstekingsremmende en spijsvertering bevorderende eigenschappen. genoemd, is een overblijvende kruidachtige plant van de Zingiberaceae-familie die al <strong data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"713\">duizenden jaren<\/strong> wordt gekweekt <strong data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"713\">in Zuidoost-Azi\u00eb<\/strong>, met name in India, waar het wordt gebruikt als <strong data-start=\"757\" data-end=\"811\">specerij, kleurstof voor voedsel en cultureel ingredi\u00ebnt<\/strong> (Britannica, 2025; PubMed, 2025).<\/p><p>De <strong data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"874\">geeloranje wortelstok<\/strong>, gedroogd en vermalen tot poeder, wordt gebruikt in curry&#8217;s en is verantwoordelijk voor de intense kleur, die te danken is aan de <strong data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1000\">curcumino\u00efden<\/strong> waarvan curcumine de belangrijkste bioactieve verbinding is (NCCIH, 2025; Een natuurlijke ontstekingsremmer en antioxidant<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fe819b7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fe819b7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Curcumine staat bekend om zijn <strong>ontstekingsremmende<\/strong> werking. Het regelmatig consumeren van kurkuma kan helpen bij het verlichten van <strong>gewrichts-<\/strong> en <strong>spierpijn<\/strong> en pijn die gepaard gaat met <strong>chronische ontstekingen<\/strong>. <strong data-start=\"433\" data-end=\"481\">Onderzoeken<\/strong> hebben aangetoond dat <strong>curcumine<\/strong>, de belangrijkste verbinding in kurkuma, bepaalde markers van ontsteking en <strong>oxidatieve stress<\/strong> (zoals C-reactief prote\u00efne, TNF-\u03b1 en IL-6) kan verminderen en<strong>de antioxidantwerking<\/strong> kan verbeteren (Dehzad &amp; al., 2023).    <\/p><p>Dankzij de antioxiderende eigenschappen beschermt kurkuma cellen tegen oxidatieve stress en vroegtijdige veroudering. In combinatie met <a href=\"https:\/\/naturamada.com\/nl\/zwarte-peper-uit-madagaskar-gebruik-en-voordelen\/\"><strong>zwarte peper<\/strong><\/a> (piperine) wordt het <strong>beter <\/strong> opgenomen (Shoba et al., 1998).
